- Day1
Watamu → Tsavo West
Early departure, reaching Tsavo West between 9 and 10. This is the land of the man-eating lions of Tsavo, made famous by the film The Ghost and the Darkness: riverine forest, mountains, lakes and ancient baobabs. Lodge around 12:30, lunch and rest. In the afternoon, depending on our position, a visit to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary (open 4–6 pm), the protected area for black rhino. After dinner, the lucky ones see a leopard climbing the trees in front of the lodge.
- Day2
Tsavo West → Amboseli
Sunrise drive to Mzima Springs, where millions of litres a day of water filtered through the volcanic rock of the Chyulu Hills emerge so clear you can watch hippos and crocodiles. Then on to Amboseli: giraffe, gazelle, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, lion and hyena. Camp at the foot of Kilimanjaro, lunch, and at 3:30 pm a drive to the lake until sunset. Maasai performance after dinner.
- Day3
Amboseli → Tsavo East
Game drive on the way out of the park, then along the Nairobi–Mombasa road to Tsavo East. Game drive, lodge around 1 pm, lunch and time by the pool watching the waterhole. Out again at 3:30 pm until sunset.
- Day4
Tsavo East → Watamu
Last game drive at dawn. Around 10:30 we leave the park, stop for refreshments and drive back to your resort.
