The stilted towers of Salt Lick Lodge

Lodge

Where you'll sleep on safari

We choose the lodge with you, based on budget and availability. These are some of the ones we use most often.

Tsavo East

Voi Wildlife Lodge

A modern lodge overlooking a waterhole that attracts elephants, birds and other animals. Spacious African-style rooms, buffet and spa.

Ngutuni Lodge

Good value: a two-storey wood-and-thatch lodge in a private sanctuary on the park's edge, facing a waterhole.

Taita Hills

Salt Lick Safari Lodge

The lodge on stilts: raised rooms linked by walkways above the waterhole where elephants come to drink.

Tsavo West

Ngulia Safari Lodge

A spectacular position on the Ngulia escarpment, close to the rhino sanctuary. At night leopards visit the floodlit waterhole below the restaurant.

Voyager Ziwani

A simple, atmospheric camp in a riverside clearing with hippos, monkeys and antelope. Candlelit dinner on the lawn.

Amboseli

Amboseli Serena Lodge

The most elegant of Amboseli's big lodges, in forest at the edge of the swamps, with a shaded pool.

Kibo Safari Camp

A tented camp overlooking the plains at the foot of Kilimanjaro, handy for the park and guided walks.

Masai Mara

Fig Tree Camp

Tents and chalets on the Talek River, a pool and Maasai dancing in the evening. A base for hot-air balloon flights.

Mara Sopa Lodge

A large Maasai-style lodge with round thatched rooms, pool and gardens.

Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru Lodge

In the park's south-east, once part of Lord Delamere's estate: garden cottages with lake views and a pool.

Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge

Cottages on a hill overlooking the lake, pool and sauna. Traditional dancing in the evening.
